How they work
I'm not going to waste your time trying to convince you to do this, it's your decision to make. All I will say is that this is a serious way to make some money online. I say some, because this will most likely not replace a real job, but that depends on just how much you put into this.
If you're still reading, it means you'd like to learn a little bit more about just how these P.T.C. sites work.
P.T.C. websites host the advertisements that others have paid the website to host. Every websites pricing is slightly different, but essentially a person is paying to get people to click and view their advertisements. That's where you come in. In order to promote and get people to click and view these advertisements (which noone would normally do) the P.T.C. site pays registered members an amount of the money that they were payed to host the add.
Person pays P.T.C. site to host ad for clicks -> P.T.C. site gets money, pays members to click adds -> members make money
Who wins?
1) The person paying the P.T.C. site (They get traffic to their website)
2) The P.T.C. site (being payed to host ads)
2) The registered member (you, to click the adds)
But what about viruses?
Well, I'm registered and earning from several P.T.C. sites, and I have not gotten a virus yet.
I downloaded the most recent version of firefox before I got started, and that's really all I needed.
Sometimes you will get an ad that will harass you into trying to stay on their site, but if you just click OK to "Are you sure you want to leave!?" you'll be good. Virus protection software is always good don't get me wrong, but I haven't found it necessary.
